WEATHER IN AUGUST The weather in August was exceptionally fine and mild, only twelve frosts being recorded. The average minimum temperature for the mo. t was 34 degrees. There was very little wind, mostly north to north-east with sunshine on most days. The last two days, however, were very cold, wnh strong north-east wind blowing. During the month rain fell on seven days, the heaviest fall being 58 points on the 29th, bringing the*otal to 1.20 inches, which is an unusually small amount for this month of the year.
