CONCERT AT MAUNGATI The Sunday School concert held in the Maungati School attracted a crowded house. The programme was as follows: Playettes, Sunday School children; vocal quartette, Sundav School boys; songs, Mr Lindsay Evans; humorous recitations, Mr H. L. Fenn; songs, Mr Dale; cornet solos, Mr Bruce Dent; recitations, Mr Dale. Mr Eggleton was chairman. At the close of the concert, the vicar (Rev. J. Hay) proposed a vote of thanks to Messrs R. Dale, D. Dent and G. Allen for their untiring efforts, and said he was sure the manner in which the young people had acquitted themselves must have given them much satisfaction. Mr H. L. Fenn was also thanked for arranging the stage, and the committee and ladies for their willing services. Supper was handed round, after which the floor was cleared and dancing was enjoyed until midnight. ./It A. O’Neill supplied the music and Mr H. Bird was master of ceremonies.
