EMPHATIC DENIAL
ALLEGATION AGAINST BAKERS By Telegraph —Presw Association WANGANUI, August 30. An emphatic denial to a statement made by Mr E. J. Watson, of Auckland, that the master bakers’ assessors had not signed the agreement reached in a Conciliation Council "because their ends had been served by the price of bread being raised,” is given by Mr D. E. Dustin one of the assessors in the dispute. Mr Dustin says that during penultimate stages of the proceedings the employers’ respresentatives offered certain wages with a proviso, one of which Mr Watson has since repudiated, consequently several of the assessors feel that they have been let down and refuse to sign.
