LOVELOCK’S FEAT
FORM OF COMMEMORATION DISCUSSED By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, August 29. A meeting of the New Zealand Olympic Council appointed a sub-commit-tee, consisting of Messrs J. W. Heenan, H. McCormick, A. D. Bayfield and H. Amos, to consider what steps should be taken to commemorate J. E. Lovelock's Olympic achievement. It was pointed out that in the past bowlers participating in overseas tournaments were not truly New Zealand representatives, as advantage had been taken of holiday tours of New Zealanders, who happened to be bowlers. Such representation was most unsatisfactory. A long discussion took place regarding the affiliation of the Deminion Wrestling Union and the New Zealand Amateur Wrestling Fe<^<nation, and decision was deterred until the annual meeting. In the meantime the Association will ascertain the requirements of the International Wrestling Federation, whose headquarters are at present in Hungary.
