“ FRIENDLY FRIDAYS 99 TOURNEY DRUIDS WIN SHIELD Besides decisively winning the ••Friendly Fridays” Shield for the 1936 season, the Temuka Druids also set a new record for this popular tournament by secuirng the highest individual aggregates in both euchre and cribbage. In the final round played in the Catholic Clubrooms on Thursday evening, they further enhanced their lead of 28 points from the previous night to 43 points by defeating the second team, Citizens, by 63 points to 48. In the other match for the ‘‘wooden spoon,” Oddfellows beat Hibernians by 68 points to 43. Druids scored first and second place in the individual aggregates for cribbage and first and equal second in the euchre section. Winners were:— Cribbage: G. E. Pierce 174, W. J. Frisby 171. Euchre: R. Davidson 119, T South and E. Larsen 118. The final team scores were:— Druids 1044, Citizens 1001, Oddfellows 992, Hibernians 959. The detail scores for the final evening were:— Druids v.
