EUCHRE SOCIAL

AROWHEnUA HUIRAPA GLEE CLUB There was a large attendance at the fortnightly euchre and dance held in the interests of the Arowhenua Glee Club in the Hall on Thursday evening. Winners at cards were Mesdames Torepe and J. Rickus and Messrs J. Mrller and B. Rogers, while Mrs K. Rehu and Mr Hide won consolation prizes. In the dance that followed, Mss O’Leary and Mr J. Paiki were successful in winning the Monte Carlo waltz and Mr A. Solomon and partner the statue waltz. Winners of competitions held during the evening were Mr L. Mamaru and D. O’Connor. Music was supplied by Mr J. Rickus and Mr K. Selwyn was M.C.
