HORTICULTURE

TO-DAY’S SHOW A splendid response has been received for the Horticultural Society’s autumn show, which opens in the Bay Hall to-day. All classes have been well patronised and in addition some splendid exhibitions will be staged. There will be more than 150 varieties of gladioli on display, grown from the best stock available in England, Ama’’ica and the Continent. A visit will be well repaid, in fact the show will be the only opportunity afforded local horticulturists this season of seeing really rare high-class material. The show will be open to the public from 2.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. to-day and again during the same hours to-morrow.
