CYCLIST KILLED
COLLISION WITH LORRY By Telegraph— Press Association MASTERTON, November 7. Fatal injuries were suffered by Basil Lang, aged 14. as a result of being struck by a motor-lorry on the main road near Clareville this afternoon. The lad had been cycling behind a petrol waggon and he cut out suddenly on to the wrong side of the road and collided head-on with a lorry driven by Ralph Winstone Benton, of Featherston. who was proceeding in the opposite direction. The boy was very seriously Injured and he died in the Masterton Hospital to-night. His mother is Mrs Florence Lang, of Clareville.
