At the Central Police Court to-day, Edwin John Hickey, aged 185, described as a dairy hand, was remanded until November 14 on a charge of murdering Montague Henwood. Mr Henwood, the State Conciliation Commissioner, aged 65, was found dead beside the railway line near Faulconbridge, fifty-one miles west of Sydney. One side of Mr Henwood’s head was shockingly Injured. His vest pockets were turned inside out. His gold watch and chain were untouched, but his hat and baggage were missing.
