550 STUDENTS TO BE ADMITTED Bv Telegraph Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, November 6. Interviewed to-day with reference to the training of students next year the Minister of Education (the Hon. S. G. Smith) said that 550 new students would be admitted to and allocated between the Auckland and Christchurch training colleges, A number of these would be University graduates admitted for only one year, but the great majority would be required to undergo a two years’ course of training. Students who wish to be admitted to the one year’s course may apply in anticipation of qualifying for their degrees in the University examinations now in progress. Education Boards may accept applications up to November 18.
