TEACHERS ON LOCAL BODIES By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, May 15. “There is no objection to teachers sitting on local bodies as long as their duties do not interfere with the proper conduct of the school,” said the chairman (Mr Wells), of the Education Board to-day when an inquiry was received regarding Miss A. J. Greville, infant mistress at the Hikurangi School, who has been elected to the Whangarei Borough Council. Other members of the Board mentioned instances of teachers occupying local body office.
