Wools offered at the opening of the eleventh series of wool sales to-day were of finer quality than at last week’s auctions. Skirtings rose appreciably in price, while greasy wool was 5 per cent, dearer than the closing rates last week. Scoured wool was firm. There was practically a total clearance of the 12,660 bales offered. The top prices were: Greasy 161 d; scorned 26id.
