PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS By Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, May 13. A good house enjoyed an excellent night’s sport this evening when two 10 round professional boxing contests were held. W. Jack (Invercargill) 10.6 beat L. Hood (Dunedin) 10.6 on points in a willing welter-weight bout. The middle-weight contest between E. Jacobs (Wellington) 11.6 and M, O’Brien (Dunedin) 11.6 was characterised by clean hard hitting throughout. Jacobs won convincingly on points. The pair will fight at Invercargill shortly for the professional middleweight championship of the Dominion.
