Fears for the future of the gold bloc are again leading to a steady flow of foreign funds to London for safe-keep-ing. The weekly offering of Treasury bills was swollen by foreign tenders and the movement was reflected by further gold withdrawals from the Continent, French and Swiss banks recording substantial losses.
