ADVICE TO BRITONS

SIR GENGOULT SMITH A MODERN DICK WHITTINGTON LONDON, April 27. The former Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sir Gengoult Smith, has an article in the “Evening News” in which he urges Britons to live dangerously, even late in life, as did the Empire's pioneers, whose enterprise was not determined by their age. The “Evening News” describes Sir Gengoult as a modem Dick Whittington, who made a second start in life and became Lord Mayor after working his passage round the world as a ship’s doctor.
