LIVES LOST IN AVALANCHES United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph —Copyright (Received February 7, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 6. “The News-Chronicle” states that much of Austria and Switzerland is snowbound. Avalanches sweeping down the mountains buried 15 persons in Austria, and nine are missing on the heights. Seven people were overwhelmed when a snowslide crashed on the Swiss village of Saint Antonion. Two houses were demolished and two families perished. Tourists are marooned without food in alpine huts.
