RIFLE SHOOTING
TIMARU DEFENCE CLUB On Saturday afternoon the Timaru Defence Rifle Club fired the first round of the service competition, the conditions being 5 shots grouping at 100 yards, 5 shots slow at 200 yards, 10 shots rapid at 200 yards, 5 shots snap at 200 yards, 5 shots slow at 500 yards. The winners of the trophies were J. Healy, C. Mathieson and A. Mcßeath. The scores were:—
