CLOTHING TRADE DISPUTE By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, February 6. A Conciliation'Council, over which Mr S. Ritchie, Conciliation Commissioner, presided, spent the whole day considering the Dominion industrial dspute in the clothing trade. Agreement was reached on practically all the important matters after a long discussion. The women assessors for the employers were not satisfied with the wages offered for journeywomen, but eventually an amended offer of £2/2/was accepted. The request of the employer assessors for a 40-hour week was not granted. The wages demands were discussed at length and a compromise was ultimately reached.
