LOST AIRMEN. —The last photograph taken of Mr C. T. P. Vim (left) and his two companions, Messrs George Littlejohn and J. L. Skilling, who, while attempting to fly from California to Australia via Honolulu, Fanning Island, and Suva, were forced down somewhere near Honolulu, on December 4 and have not since been found. This photograph was taken just prior to their departure on the ill-fated flight.

DISTINGUISHED SOLDIER'S VISIT. —The Mayor of Wellington (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) tendered a chic welcome to General Sir Alexander and Lady Godley, who are at present louring the Dominion. In the front row , from left, are the Mayoress (Mrs Hislop), Sir Alexander Godley, the Mayor, and Lady Godley. Amongst those at the back are Major-General Sir William SinclairBurgess G.O.C. New Zealand Defence Forces (standing between Sir Alexander and the Mayor), and in the same rote to the right, the Hon. William Perry, M.L.C.
