DEAREST CIRCLIANS,

My little Namesake visited me twice this week to see how many contributions I had received for our Toy-Makers’ Page. “I am very interested in the stories and poems,” he said, the last time he came. “Especially the stories. You see, I thought I might be able to take some good ideas back to the Neverland with me. The Lost Boys want to make some toys to give to some poor little children in the land beyond the Neverland. Wendy wants to make something, too. It is more fun if you are told how to make things in a story, and more interesting. Perhaps some of the boys will write and tell me how to make an aeroplane, or a boat, or a motor-car; and perhaps some of the girls will write about nice cudly animals, dolls’ houses, dolls’ cradles, or rainbow balls; or how to dress a Peter Pan or Wendy doll,” he added, with a chuckle. “I am looking forward to our Toy-Makers’ Page, too,” I said. “It will be the first Special Page of its kind we have ever had, and I am sure my clever little people will make a success of it.” “And now I must leave you,” said my little Namesake. “I promised to help Wendy finish her Spring-cleaning. She has been away visiting her brothers, and has never left her Springcleaning so late before. The birds have been too busy with their own nests to help her, so I said I would be back again to-day. Do you like Spring-cleaning, Peter Pan?” “Not very much,” I laughed. “I would rather shut myself up in my little writing-room, instead, and read the good things my Circlians send me.” “I am coming to read all the good things in the ToyMakers’ Page,” my little Namesake called, as he hurried away. I am expecting lots of happy poems and stories yet, little people; and don’t forget that they must all reach me by Next Saturday. Love and Good Wishes, FROM YOUR OWN / f P.S.—I wish to thank Margery Donehue, Otaio, for the beautiful flowers she sent me.—P.P.
