REGRET AT DEPARTURE
VICE-REGAL INTEREST IN THE DOMINION By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, November 9. “I suppose I can call this a valedictory speech,” said the GovernorGeneral (Lord Bledisloe), in referring to his impending departure from the Dominion during a speech at a luncheon at the show grounds to-day. “I must say with some sadness,” continued His Excellency, “that my wife and I are shortly to flit to our ancestral haunts in the Old Land, but, speaking without exaggeration, we shall leave- behind us no small part of our hearts and sympathies, and none will learn of your returning prosperity with more genuine joy.”
