ADDITIONAL SPORTS EVENTS Owing to the fact that two senior championship events were run practically one after the other at the annual athletic championships of the Tirnaru Boys’ High School, it was decided to re-run the 100 yards, and this resulted: J. S. Allan 1, J. E. Gardiner 2, F. R. Blue 3. As a result of these placings, Allan and Gardiner tie for the senior championship with 16 points each. Throwing the cricket ball (open handicap) resulted: W. R. Bailey (scr), 91 yards 1 foot 1 inch, 1; D. S. Gardiner 2, P. Ainge 3. A competition was held at the school yesterday for musical instruments other than those in the School Band, and this resulted: D. Smith (clarinet) 1, R. Shipley (banjo-mandolin) 2.
