(2) As from Ist May, 1935: (a) women’s exemption in respect of income, other than salary or wages, is increased to £SO: (b) females receiving pensions under the Pensions Act, 1926, and females under twenty years, are exempt from tax: (c) females of sixty years or over, and males of sixty-five years or over, also persons who through permanent disability are unable to follow any regular employment, may claim exemption on income, other than salary or wages, provided their total income for the preceding year did not exceed £104: (d) all natives, males and females, of twenty years or over are liable for tax.
