FINE WEATHER IN SYDNEY. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, December 27. Beautiful weather was experienced in Sydney on Boxing Day, and It is estimated that 150,000 spent the day at the beaches. Melbourne, too, experienced good weather, but more than 50 homes at Kensington are still surrounded by an evil smelling sea of silt and debris left by the Christmas night flood. Hundreds of people spent Boxing Day shovelling mud out of their homes. Rows of houses are expected to he untenable for weeks. BAD WEATHER IN QUEENSLAND. TOWNS FLOODED AND CAMPERS WASHED OUT. United Press Association —Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright BRISBANE, December 27. Holiday makers experienced a tropical disturbance. Campers on the beach were washed out, nearly seven Inches of rain falling along the coast. A small flood occurred in some places. The Ascot Racecourse was flooded and the races were postponed. A thunderstorm in Snowtown. 90 miles north of Adelaide, resulted in three Inches of rain in an hour, and hailstones as big as moth balls. The railway dam overflowed and houses were inundated. A washaivay which occurred on the railway line delayed trains. A flood of water, about a mile wide, descended on the township of Caltowie, from the adjacent hills, and swamped many homes and business places. . Tire streets and some houses were flooded in Mallaia, which also experienced the storm..
