CYCLING DISPUTE
THE END IN SIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, December 13. It was announced to-day by Mr H. D. Bennett, chairman of the New Zealand Cycling Council, that the Council and the League of Wheelmen had signed a 10 point agreement and the indications were that the long drawn out dispute over the control of amateur cycling seemed at last to have reached finality. The agreement generally provides for the continuance of the present Cycling Council under the new name of the New Zealand Amateur Association, but with the necessary provision for the ultimate full and exclusive control by cycling bodies on a democratic basis. Mr Bennett said that complete harmony wnuld be restored when the Nev Zealand Amateur Athletic Association lifted the ban imposed on cycling events at athletic meetings.
