The Arbitration Court to-day awarded Mrs Olive Fmma Tonkin, of Christchurch. and child. £IOOO compensation for the death of the former s husband. Horace John Tonkin, killed in the earthquake at Messrs Roachs. Ltd., Hastings. In February. 1931. This is the first case decided. Several other cases are believed to have been settled out of Coiirt_
