HELP FOR REFUGEES

UNITED CHURCH APPEAL IN BRITAIN. (Received December 13, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 12. The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York, the Archbishop of Wales, and the heads of the Free Churches of England and Wales, have issued a Christmas appeal on behalf of 60,000 political and religious refugees of all classes and creeds from Germany. The appeal is endorsed by Mr James Macdonald, who has been appointed by the League of Nations Council as high commissioner for the refugees from Germany.
