RUM RUNNERS SEIZE GUARDS GLACE BAY CNovia Scotia), December 7. Four Canadian coast guardsmen were captured to-day by the crew of the suspected rum-running craft, Kromhoufs, who turned on the guardsmen as the vessel was being towed into port. The coastguard cutter Stumble Inn had seized the ship, and the captain assigned four seamen to take it Into North Sydney. Striking quickly, the Kromhoufs crew overpowered their guards and cut loose their ship, which was being towed by the Stumble Inn and were soon out of range of the coastguard's guns. Government vessels began an immediate search.
