Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind—Variable, moderate to fresh, westerly to southerly ruling. Weather—More or less cloudy; an occasional shower is likely. Dominion Meteorologist. General situation—A moderate anticyclone is moving across the Dominion, its centre being over the northern districts. Pressure Is now low' over Eastern and Central Australia. Wind. -South-westerly in places at first, otherwise westerly prevailing, backing gradually to northerly, moderate generally, later freshening. Seas (New Zealand waters).—Rather rough between Casllepoint and Kalkoura and in the Taranaki Bight, eLsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea— Freshening north-east to north winds, seas moderWeather Fair In moot districts; some scattered showers or misty rain still likely in the western and far southern portions of the South Island; temi>eratures warm to hot.
