The Cabinet, under Mustapha Kemal, President of the Turkish Republic, is launching an industrial five-year plan, covering the construction of fourteen factories, twelve of which will be Stateowned, producing coke, yarns, bottles, paper tissues, cellulose and chemicals. The Budget provides 30,000,000 Turkish pounds, the Soviet providing £16,000,000.
