THE WEATHER

Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate to fresh south to south-east, weather changeable, with isolated showers likely. Dominion Meteorologist. A slight depression passed in the south during Thursday night, and a weak anti-cyclone appears to have developed over the Tasman Sea. Pressure, however, has fallen over southeastern Australia. Expect variable northerly winds at first about Cook Strait; otherwise light to moderate southerlies prevailing, but winds becoming northerly again shortly. Seas smooth to moderate. Weather for the most part fair to cloudy, but some isolated showers probable, more especially in the far north and eastern districts. Temperatures cool to-night, but sultry conditions setting in again to-morrow.
