The height standard for London Metropolitan policemen is now sft. lOin. this is an increase of one inch on last year. One machine now being used on Canadian farms can cut and thresh the grain on 40 acres a day with only two men to operate it. If Britain provided all its own requirements in pig meat, employment would be provided for from 70,000 to 100.000 men. Hungary has invented rubber horseshoes.
