WINCHESTER

PERSONAL. Mrs W. Bradshaw, Winchester, has left on a holliday visit to Invercargill. Miss Mona Outhbertson, Glenavy, who has been the guest of her sister Mrs W. Elliot, Winchester, has rej turned home. EUCHRE SOCIAL. On Wednesday nig|ht, a euchre social and dance organised by the Winchester Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club was fairly well attended. The competition prizes were won as follows ;_(Ladies)—Mrs H. J. Hopkins 1, Mrs M. Russell 2; (men) —Messrs W. Jackson 1, Mr J. Connolly 2. The consolation prizes (which were given by Mrs Russell) were won by Mrs Raleigh and Mr Jno. Cripps. Mr R. Hoare supplied the dance music and Miss Doreen Opie played an extra. Mr W. Jackson controlled the floor. A guessing competition was won by Mr D. Louden.
