Mackenzie King) in an address here on Wednesday night, declared that the Liberal Party stood for a fifty per cent, minimum preference on British good* entering through Canadian ports. He stated that in respect to world trade, there should be immediate substantial general reductions in customs duties, and for the purpose of greater freedom of trade within the British Empire, there should be no uncertain increase in British preference.
