At Wentworth Auction Mart to-mor-row at 1.30 and 7 p.m., an auction sale of drapery, linen, and cutlery and leather coats will be held.

Messrs Runciman Pryor advise auction this day at 1.30 at the Wentworth Mart, of three pianos, furniture, carpets, seed potatoes, and fishing rods.

Community singing will be held in the Regent Theatre on Friday,. 12.30 to 1.30. The promoters would like a bumper house as a farewell to Mr Harding, the popular manger of the Regent Theatre, who is transferred to Whangarei. Roll up in large numbers and give him a royal send off. ..

Some women going to a conference in Wellington were forestalled last week when they went to the Auckland Railway Station to book sleeping berths for the journey.
