CLANDEBOYE BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Clandeboye branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers' Union was held in the hall. Mrs H. F. Dunn presided over a good attendance of members. Two most interesting addresses were given, one by Mrs Duncan Taylor on “Gardening,” and the other by Miss Brown, who spoke on “Chelsea Gardens.” Both were greatly enjoyed by members. A roll call, “Spring Cleaning Hints,” brought forward some novel and helpful suggestions.

Competitions for the month were won as follows: —Sponge sandwich: Mrs Adair 1, Miss Ivy Prestige 2, Miss Enid Livesey 3. Butter sponge: Mrs Drake 1, Mrs G. Langrell 2. At the close of the meeting, afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mrs Livesey, Mrs F. Mackie and Miss N. Liddle.

The competition for the October neeting will be for a case of flowers decorative).
