HEAVY DAMAGE IN PERTH. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright PERTH, April 11. The largest fire for many years occurred in the large warehouse of Messrs Clarksons, Limited, paint and glass merchants. It destroyed the building, separated by a narrow lane from the Central Telephone Exchange, which for a time was in danger. The heat burst many windows in the Exchange, but the Brigade managed to save it. The damage at Messrs Clarksons is about £45,000. A fireman was injured by a falling piece of masonry.
