THE WEATHER

Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind, freshening northerly; weather fair and warm. Dominion Meteorologist. The recent disturbance has disappeared eastwards, and a moderate anti-cyclone is now moving towards New Zealand. Pressure is falling again over south-eastern Australia. Expect moderate southerly winds, veering again shortly to westerly and northerly, and freshening from Cook Strait southwards. Seas rough swell south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint; elsewhere moderate. Weather fair to fine generally, but later showers again developing in western and far southern districts of the South Island. Cool to-night, but temperatures warm again to-morrow.
