COMBINED CLUBS’ CARNIVAL.

Arrangements are now well in hand for the carnival which is being held in the Century Bath to-morrow evening, as a preliminary to the Dominion championships. The entries received have surpassed all previous records and judging by the enthusiasm shown by swimmers should prove to be one of the most successful carnivals held in Timaru. Competitors will be in attendance from Oamaru, Ashburton, Geraldine and Temuka. and all manner of swimming, diving and novelty events will be introduced. Extra seating accommodation has been erected at the baths to ensure comfort for the spectators. At the conclusion of the carnival a dance is to be held in St. Patrick’s Hall, to entertain visitors and others.
