Wellington-Hokitika-Wellington Air Mail.—Squadron-Leader M. C. McGregor, D.F.C., flew from Wellington to Hokitika and back with an experimental air mail. On each journey stops were made and mail delivered and accepted at Nelson and Westport. Left, Mr. F. M. Clark putting mail aboard the machine before it left Rongotai at 8 a.m. Right: The crowds which greeted the airman when he landed at Hokitika at 12.12 p.m. The return journey was made 40 minutes ahead of schedule.
