The young New Zealand poet, Geoffrey Potocki De Montalk, wearing sandals and a scarlet cloak, and an author, Douglas Glass, wearing sandals and a black velvet cloak, were charged at Clerkenwell with allegedly publishing an obscene libel. Glass was discharged and De Mont.alk was committed for trial.
