WOOL SALES.
FIRMER MARKET IN AUSTRALIA. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 26, 11.45 p.m.) MELBOURNE, January 26. At the wool sales, competition was keen, with strong buying by Japan. Values remained firm at recent Sydney levels. The offerings totalled 10,300 bales and practically all was cleared. At Adelaide the average price realised for wool last week was £lO/0/11 per bale for greasy wool, compared with £9/13/3? at the previous sales in December.
