TITLED LADY FLIER

TRIP TO AUSTRALIA. SALE OP LATEST FASHIONS. LONDON, January 10. Lady Chaytor, wife of the baronet, Sir Edmund, has planned an aeroplane trip to Australia in March in order to sell the latest fashions there. She states that she will travel in a Gipsy Moth, piloted by Mr R. T. Richards, but she herself will have a flying licence next week. “What does your husband think about it all?” Lady Chaytor was asked. "Oh! He does not know anything at all about it yet; but, of course, he will be told in plenty of time,” her ladyship replied. She proceeded, however, to tell her interviewer all about it. Lady Chaytor is charming, petite, blonde and bashful, yet intensely animated. Lady Chaytor continued; —“Witton Castle (Sir Edmund's family seat) is in the Scotch corner of Durham. It was built in 1143, has 30 bedrooms, and a ‘To let' notice in front. I am going to Australia to lecture on fashions, so I can take that notice down. Unfortunately, I cannot carry the fashions with me, because all the available space will be occupied by petrol tanks. I am not going to try to break any records, but I will certainly get there. I must be in England again in June, because I am then to present my daughter at Court. I intend to fly back. “I saw Mr C. W. A. Scott and asked him about the trip. He gave me full details and directions for the whole of the route. “I think he is going out again himself. because he is restless to achieve another record." Sir Edmund Chaytor, the sixth baronet, was born in 1876 and is a relative of the New Zealand family which supplied Major-General Sir Edward Chaytor, the brilliant Light Horse leader of the Palestine campaign.
