MEAL TIME.

PART OP DRIVER’S HOURS. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 18. In a decision to-day, the Arbitration Court holds that the time occupied by a driver of a petrol lorry in having a meal is part of his working time. There is no custom, the court says, to support the application of the rule governing horse-drivers to drivers of petrol-wag-gons, and further, regulations made under the Dangerous Goods Act place specific duties and responsibilities on drivers of petrol waggons during hours of duty.
