SHOW ENTRIES Considering the season, this year** entries for the Temuka and Geraldine Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual show at Winchester next Thursday compare very satisfactorily with the 1929 exhibits at last year’s fixture. The entries in the pig. grain ana seed, and miscellaneous classes show an increase on those of 1930, while the majority of the other sections show only a slight falling-off. the divisions to suffer most being the fruit and vegetables and the dog. SUCCESSFUL HARVEST SALE. Success attended the annual harvest sale of the Geraldine Methodist Church -which was held in the Presbyterian Hall. Geraldine, yesterday afternoon, Generous gifts of fancy work, cakes, fruit, sweets, vegetables, etc., had been made by the parishioners, and these commodities met with a ready sale during the day. a very satisfactory sum being raised by the effort. Those in charge of the stall at the hall were:—Fancy stall. Young Ladles Guild (Misses I. Logan and M. Sherrattl; jumble, Mesdames Loach and Southern; produce, Mesdames Undrill, W. Fyfe. and W. G. Sherratt; flowers, Mesdames Cliff and Wallach; sweets. Misses Coomber and Prouting; vegetables. the Rev. J. Southern and Messrs Loach and M. Camobell; refreshments, Mesdames McKeown, N. Sherratt, Sutherland, H. Smith, E. Smith, Jones, Davis, Henry, Grayburn, F. Neutze, R. Neutze, A. South and Misses Doris South and L. Henry. John R. Procter, the Premier Opticians, of Christchurch, will be visiting Geraldine, and may be consulted at the Crown Hotel, on March 25th.
