ARUNDEL.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. A meeting of the Committee of the Arundel Women's Institute Committee was held on Monday evening. The following members were present:—Mrs Charles (president), Mesdames Galletely Flower. Lewis. Upritchard, Hampton, Ashby, Morris and Miss Bremner (secretary). Mrs Charles reported on the meeting of the Federation Committee. The balance sheet of the > ’ent exhibition showed that the Institute had £34 3s 6d in hand to send to the Napier Relief Fund, and that a few pounds more had yet to come in. The credit balance from the exhibition apart from donations amounted to £2O. The donations included £5 by the Arundel Hall Committee. The following items were omitted from the prize list:—Smocking: Mrs C. R Sim 1, Miss R. Williams 2. Papier mache; Miss Clarice Lewis 2. A number of prize winners generously handed their prize money to the fund A vote of thanks was passed to all those who had helped to make the function such a success. SOCIAL EVENING. The first of the fortnightly socials at Arundel was held in the Howard Hall on Saturday evening. The prizes were won by Miss Ashby and Mr J. Hewitt and consolation prizes by Mrs Harris and Mr A. McDonald. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Foster I nd the music was supplied by Mr R. Giles.
