MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

BENEFIT MEETING. In an effort to help victims of the earthquake disaster the committee of the South Canterbury Motor Cycle Club decided at a meeting last night to hand over the entire proceeds of the grass track race meeting, that the club is staging on Saturday next, to the earthquake relief fund. The decision was unanimous, and it was hoped that the public would give full support. The committee decided to spare no effort to make the meeting a success, and it was said that the public could be assured of a high class programme, which would include a special match race between B. Lovegrove and F. R. Cross. It was hoped to raise a substantial •sum which would go to swell the public subscription list.
