AUSTRALIAN FRUIT.
NEW MARKET FOR RAISINS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received, April 6, 5.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, April 5. An improved market for Australian raisins is predicted by British Columbia buyers, who state that the manner of packing fruit, as well as the quality, has materialy improved. In the past. Australian fruit has not been able to compete with California products here, but now the position is reversed. It is understood that large orders are being placed by British Columbia wholesale dealers for the Christmas trade.
