The “Evening Standard” publishes a telegram from the Italian Government, in reply to the Standards message to Signor Mussolini, that the British public was excited .over the possibility of Gialdini escaping punishment. The reply says that Italy will willingly arrest Gialdini, if Britain supplies the necessary reasons. There is no right of asylum for criminals. If charges are warranted, Gialdini will be tried in Italy.
