INTER-STATE GAMES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, February 3. The inter-State tennis tourney, the New South Wales men’s and women’s teams defeated Victoria by wide margins, and won the men’s contest with Queensland, though some keenly fought games were witnessed in this case. The most notable feature was the defeat of the Queensland pair, Moon and Cummings, by Hungerford and McCausland, 7-5, 8-6. The visitors subsequently won a keenly contested match with Sproule and Dunlop, 5-7, 7-5, 8-6. The State championships, now in progress, so far have been confined to preliminaries.
